OVERVIEW:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s Dr. Gray Lab has an outstanding opportunity for a **Research Consultant 2** position. This position will support research projects focused on understanding adverse pregnancy outcomes, including preeclampsia, stillbirth, and fetal anomalies, and other projects as needs arise. The current research projects additionally involve data extraction and cleaning from the electronic health record on all deliveries in the hospital system for the use in AI and machine learning focused projects for the prediction of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data extraction, management, and quality control (40%):
+ Develop methods, systems, and SOPs to extract high-quality real time data from Electronic Health Records to support the Pregnancy Biorepository and related studies
+ Combine and clean data from multiple sources and institutions into one database
+ Serve as honest data broker for Maternal and Fetal Medicine Group
+ Provide expert consultation to Principal Investigators, coordinators, and other collaborators on best practices for data collection and management
+ Build and maintain complex longitudinal databases from scratch Provide regular updates to Principal Investigators and staff on data integrity and completeness
+ Escalate issues in a timely manner
+ Train and lead junior staff on database management
Data analysis (40%) :
+ Provide descriptive statistics for database participants
+ Complete complex analyses of large EHR data to support study aims
Disseminating results (20%):
+ Prepare tables, charts, and graphs for publications, presentations and sponsor reports
+ Contribute to writing methods sections and other technical components of publications, presentations and sponsor reports
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics or related field and 2 years of relevant experience,
OR
+ Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Experience with data entry and spreadsheets
+ Experience analyzing large datasets
+ Experience working with Electronic Health Record data
DESIRES:
+ Previous experience with translational pregnancy studies, including biobanking
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$63,336.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$91,992.00 annual
