Description
The CNC Programmer is responsible for the preparation and development of programs used for machine operations.
Job Functions:
+ Using CAD/CAM software, select the appropriate cutting tools and speeds/feeds for a variety of material types to create CNC programs and instructions used to run a CNC machine.
+ Verify CNC code to engineering models to insure accuracy
+ Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data in order to determine the appropriate machine tool, work holding and cutter selection, machine speeds and feed rates
+ Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures LLC.
Position Requirements
Skills:
+ Must be proficient in the use of CATIA, and MS Office tools.
+ Must possess the ability to utilize the software to create part geometry and subsequently develop milling CNC programs, including 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
+ Level 3 CNC experience.
+ Must possess the ability to conceive and define multiple step processes.
+ Must be a strong team player, and continue to build cohesiveness within the organization.
+ Attention to Detail.
Education and Experience:
+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ 3 years experience with CNC Programming.
+ Must have experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
