    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 Am - 3:30PM

    **Type:** Contract-to-Hire

    **Pay Range:** $30-$33

     

    PDS Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to join our team at the Andover, MA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and fabricating mechanical equipment and components critical to our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a focus on quality in a GMP-regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and machinery

    + Work with low, medium, and high-pressure steam systems

    + Rebuild and replace motors, pumps, and mechanical components

    + Maintain and repair compressed air and vacuum pump systems

    + Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics

    + Conduct equipment inspections and document findings accurately

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and **Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)**

    + Participate in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades

    + Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation

    + Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and perform necessary repairs

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + 5+ years of experience as a **mechanic or machinist** in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical or biotech preferred)

    + Strong knowledge of **mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics**

    + Experience with **preventive maintenance programs** and **CMMS**

    + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics

    + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    Preferred:

    + Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    + Experience operating **manual and CNC machine tools** (lathes, mills, grinders)

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift and move up to **50 lbs**

    + Capable of standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods

    + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to **noise, chemicals, and machinery**

    + Willingness to wear appropriate **PPE** and follow all safety protocols

    **Pay Details:** $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
