    The Trade Compliance Specialist supports the companies import and export compliance activities to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade laws and regulations including Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of State (DoS) and Department of Commerce (DoC). This entry-level position provides support to the compliance team with various tasks outlined below.

    Essential Functions:

    + Performs and reviews Restricted Party Screenings and other due diligence screening activities.

    + Assist in evaluating technical drawings and other documents for proper identification via export disclaimers, destination control statements, public release authorizations, and proprietary notices.

    + Assist in preparation of export licenses and agreements in accordance with federal regulations to support international business initiatives, including employment of foreign persons, manufacturing abroad, and sourcing of products from foreign entities.

    + Assists in the development and coordination of training sessions for employees and assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

    + Assist in verification of the jurisdiction of commodities, software, and technology.

    + Cross-training with Customs Compliance to understand export shipping requirements.

    Position Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 0-3 years of prior relevant experience; or Associates Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    + Proficient in MS Office

    + Ability to multi-task in a fast paced global environment

    + Team player with the willingness to collaborate

    + Understand risk mitigation, OCR EASE, DECCS, SNAP-R
