Quality Technician

The Quality Technician is responsible for driving the ISO, quality, sampling, Stewardship compliance, and related programs at the site, ensuring quality and alignment with applicable procedures The Quality Technician is responsible to oversee and support the sites manufacturing of quality products.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Coordinate and maintain the site Quality Program, by conducting regular trainings and audits, provide solutions for quality issues in a timely and appropriate manner

+ Maintain accurate records for quality and continuous improvement activities performed, leveraging internal systems

+ Maintain and complete all compliance reporting obligations

+ Participate in DDS meetings and follow through on quality-related issues.

+ Support areas across the plant to drive the adoption of 5S and use focused improvement techniques to contribute to the improvement of processes and quality management program

+ Develop best practices and share within the quality and compliance networks

+ Help train and update ISO programs for the site Compliance with all quality and ISO standards for business operations.

+ Support effective internal audit program on Site Support implementation of respective global/regional Quality initiatives, programs and regulations

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Valid Driver's License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening

+ Ability to prioritize work schedule; Demonstrates some ability to work independently

+ Ability to support others in completing assigned tasks Follows policies and procedures

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed)

+ Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends and overtime as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree 3+ years' experience in seed production Computer skills/SAP experience Competent performing basic data analysis and root cause analysis

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate between $24.89-$38.15. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
