Sr Dir USMA Lifecyle Research Strategy
The incumbent is accountable to develop and execute comprehensive research strategies to support US product lifecycle management plans. They will be responsible for developing and implementing research strategies that enhance the product lifecycle, from early development through to market launch and post-market evaluation including U.S. label expansion opportunities. This role includes the key objectives of producing internal evidence generation to prepare the U.S. pharma market for early pipeline products and expand the external evidence generation landscape through strategic partnerships in methods and data for established brands. This position is critical to the planned dissemination of key scientific data critical for optimal lifecycle management of a product to fill gaps in the scientific knowledge of the use of our products and will drive customer acceptance and use of the various brands through scientific and investigational collaborations.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Sr Dir USMA Lifecyle Research Strategy, are to:
+ Develop and oversee comprehensive research strategic plans for assigned products in collaboration with Therapeutic Area (TA) Researchers and the Field HEOR team, ensuring alignment with product development and the requirements of the US market access landscape.
+ Lead the creation of a robust HEOR program aimed at formulating key value messages and an integrated evidence plan that aligns with US market access, medical, and commercial strategies.
+ Work closely with the Clinical Development Organization and other relevant stakeholders during pipeline strategy discussions and study development to ensure that US data needs are effectively represented and incorporated for optimal product launch.
+ Act as a key liaison among commercial, market access, US / global HEOR, regulatory, clinical development, and operations teams to ensure strategic alignment for each assigned product.
+ Contribute to the strategic development and planning process within medical affairs, ensuring that study concepts and protocols are scientifically rigorous and well-structured.
+ Support the value propositions of Bayer's pipeline compounds by understanding the dynamic challenges within the US healthcare landscape and addressing the needs for successful product launches.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree with experience in pharmaceutical industry
+ Pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs, scientific publications or key opinion leader activities
+ Experience in building, developing and leading teams to achievement of goals and success and managing complex projects, change initiatives, or research projects is required.
+ A thorough understanding of medical and regulatory affairs, drug development, FDA and regulatory guidelines (PhRMA, internal SOPs, OIG, AMA, and ACCME)
+ Requires the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners in a matrix organization to ensure that all business needs are met
+ Must have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to refine messages to their essence and communicate them clearly.
Preferred Experience:
+ Master’s degree in life science with 8 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, or Bachelor’s degree in life science with 10 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, or Advanced degree preferred in a scientific field with at least 6 years of experience directly related to clinical research or medical affairs experience
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $213,000 – $305,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
