    Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care.     The Guest Registration department provides high quality customer care to patients by facilitating efficient and helpful registration service. We provide assistance to external and internal customers by obtaining patient personal, financial and insurance information during the registration process. Our friendly staff also assist with the coordination of bed assignments and the completion of preliminary authorization and verification for incoming patients to ensure a quality guest experience.

     

    If you are detail and team-oriented and believe in excellent customer service, you could uphold our quality customer care in patient registration and admissions at our hospitals and clinics. As the Senior Patient Registrar, you will oversee the scheduling work of the Patient Registrars for inpatient/outpatient admission functions; coordinate bed assignments and the preliminary authorization/verification for patients entering the hospital; and audit and report pre-registration, registration, quality management and admissions requirements.     **Minimum Qualifications:** Associate's degree in Business or Health care field related to patient admissions or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years patient admissions or patient registration experience.

    **Preferred Qualifications:** Lead experience.
