    Position at SBM Management

     

    SBM Site Services has an immediate opening for a Buyer in Tustin, CA (position is onsite). The Buyer is responsible for coordinating procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization. Position is onsite.

    CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Recommend products and/or services for Sr. Buyer and Sourcing review

    + Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed

    + Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity

    + Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements

    + Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used

    + Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs

    + Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations

    + Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company

    + Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records

    + Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner. Order follow-up and resolving backorders

    + Assist Purchasing Team and Receiving by contacting Suppliers and request for missing documents (Packing Slips, COA's and COC)

    + Assist and coordinate with Purchasing Team by working on Open Order Report and obtain current status and ETA's

    + Process returns merchandise items back to Suppliers for damaged or incorrect shipments Follow up with Suppliers for missing order Acknowledgements/Order Confirmations Expedite orders

    + Update QC and PD logs with PO#'s and ETA's

     

    Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00/Hour

     

    Benefits Include: Medical/Dental/Vision and 401k

     

    Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
