Overview
The Director, Audience Strategy, DTAI will play an integral role in operationalizing and scaling the Audience Strategy practice at Infinite Roar. In partnership with the VP of Audience Strategy, this role will drive Ad-Tech/MarTech and data-led integration strategies on behalf of our clients, while partnering closely with Strategy, Activation, Operations, Media Analytics and AdOps teams to implement these strategies across multi-channel plans.
The Director is a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented individual, balancing their passion for innovative MarTech & Data solutioning experience with their bias toward action. Their practical mindset will enable the operationalizing of successful proofs of concepts and will work toward standardizing approaches that will allow the practice to scale. The Director will work with Audience Strategy practice lead and DTAI leadership to implement a strategic roadmap for each Infinite Roar client, and will be charged with stewardship of that plan. The Director will partner with Infinite Roar client teams to educate them on the myriad uses of audience-led data strategies, leveraging 1P, 2P & 3P inputs to drive innovation, leveraging proprietary technology. This may include but is not limited to: clean rooms, CDPs, advanced audience strategies, full-funnel measurement, targeting/re-targeting & suppression strategies. They will also generate insights and audience profiles to align with strategic planning and will work with both first-party and third-party data vendors and publishers to maximize the data opportunity for the client and go beyond what is currently available.
The Director will partner with the development of an audience playbook & own the implementation, enabling approaches that will enhance ad targeting by using real-time consumer behaviors and preferences for more relevant, “right-time-right-place” ad delivery across a myriad of publishers and platforms.
Requiring high levels of collaboration and embodying a “player-coach” approach, the Director will lead a day-to-day team of direct reports in providing clients & internal stakeholders with a holistic understanding of their audience’s media consumption patterns, ensuring campaigns reach the right viewers on the most effective platforms while developing and implementing data-driven audience segmentation strategies using best-in-class tools, including 1P (Epsilon), third-party data providers (addressable & non-addressable, aggregators, industry research) as well as tools like comScore, SimilarWeb, Numerator, and others, to optimize national, regional and local audience segmentation and ad targeting.
This is a hybrid role our of Chicago requiring 3 days a week in office.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the day-to-day team lead, mentoring team members and direct reports, managing delivery against client workflows & operationalizing the strategic vision for Audience Strategy, developed in partnership with the Vice President, Audience Strategy
+ Executing on the strategic vision, they will own the resultant tactical workflows & implementations, including: creation of strategic audiences to drive growth, utilization of best-in-class deterministic technologies, and on-going documentation of audience strategy work
+ Represent Audience Strategy as the in-house experts on how 1P and 3P audience data and data-driven media activation can drive business and improve ROI for clients, including communicating horizontally and vertically across stakeholders
+ Guide and drive use of audience data to impact media strategies for clients based on overall objectives, through the optimization of addressable and offline audience strategies, leveraging data-driven processes to improve targeting precision and optimize campaign performance in real time
+ Conduct primary audience research, define core audiences to sustain and grow, and establish stakeholder alignment to help shape marketing and content strategies
+ Implement & drive our personalization strategy across all channels and customers, prospects on mobile, desktop, client website, CRM, etc.
+ Understand how platform/data technologies work and offer the ability to explain technical concepts in ordinary terms (be technically savvy & understand the opportunities and limitations)
+ Partner with the VP, Audience Strategy to understand the landscape of Marketing and Data Technologies and be able to pair solutions with a client’s specific needs to best drive key business outcomes.
+ Partner with DTAI leads to evangelize product offerings across DTAI and develop collaborative audience frameworks, aligned to the established measurement plan
+ Develop strong relationships with Identity Resolution platforms, CDPs, or other AdTech solutions and project manage the deployment and activation of data technology solutions.
+ Partner with internal Programmatic and media investment arms to support campaign activation as well as advanced data use cases
+ Collaborate with the VP, Audience Strategy to oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency).
+ Share knowledge with client and internal teams regarding audience insights and results to impact business needs
+ Be seen as a leader within DTAI, at Infinite Roar and with the client.
+ Identify opportunities to advance audience work and craft meaningful proposals for clients to maximize their data strategy as it relates to ad spend
Qualifications
+ 6+ years managing relationships across complex hierarchies and demonstrated ability to influence indirectly
+ 8+ years of experience in digital media and ad technology
+ Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills
+ In-depth technical knowledge of ad and marketing technology, including ad servers, dynamic creative, streaming video, ad verification, customer data platforms, identity resolution solutions, DSPs, etc. and the ability to translate these complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
+ Deep experience in the use of audience data to impact business outcomes through effective media strategies and activations
+ Strong project management skills
+ Strong knowledge in digital media planning, execution and measurement processes
+ Previous agency-side experience preferred
+ Experience successfully managing multiple clients and/or brands across a variety of third-party marketing measurement technologies and platforms
+ Demonstrated ability to quickly adapting to new ad measurement and technology platforms, from high-level understanding through implementation (DSP, Ad Servers, Mobile web and in-app tracking deployment experience necessary) and to train team members quickly and effectively on these same topics
+ Digital Audience and Performance Marketing Data Analytics experience preferred
+ Deep understanding and experience-based point-of-view on best of breed technology tools for BI/Data Analytics, Martech, Adtech, CDP, CRM, etc. preferred.
+ Start-up experience is a plus
+ Embody a can-do attitude, and a “figureoutability” mindset

Compensation Range: $132,715 - $190,680 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
