Managed Assets Portfolio Manager II

The Portfolio Manager II is to assist and work collaboratively within the Managed Assets department to reduce the risk profile of the classified commercial credits. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager II shall mentor Portfolio Manager I and Credit Analyst.
Manage monthly/quarterly reporting:
Oversee and coordinate completion of Managed Asset Plan (MAP) reporting. Assist in impairment review process. QC monthly Watch List reporting. Assist in completion of Large Substandard Reports.
Manage Financial Reporting and Covenant Tracking:
Review overdue financials and exceptions monthly. Coordinate updates/corrections database. Report regularly on status to the Managed Assets Relationship Manager and Managed Assets Team Leader.
Mentor Portfolio Manager I and Credit Analyst (as applicable), monitor renewal/approval backlog:
Monitor all expiration dates 90-days ahead. Schedule Credit Analyst workflow and priorities. Underwrite credits as needed.
Monitor and track all conforming ABL credits and BBCs:
Evaluate collateral position monthly . Prepare monthly conformity chart on each credit. Coordinate Loan Operations availability per each BBC. Coordinate field exams, summarize exam results.
Credit Risk Review liaison:
Oversee and coordinate responses to outstanding items/issues. Monitor action steps for remediation. Work with Division Senior Management as needed regarding Credit Policy, etc.
Provide Backup to Managed Assets Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking Administrators as needed:
Assist the team during vacations/absences as necessary. Approve overdrafts and clear wires as necessary. Provide service support as necessary. Assist in SBA liquidation process as necessary.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelors degree, or equivalent plus 2 to 4 years of workout experience, commercial lending or portfolio management or equivalent.
+ Formally credit trained.
Skills/Knowledge
+ A sound working knowledge of commercial loan analysis.
+ Working knowledge of commercial collection processes a plus.
+ Evidence of strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
+ Detail oriented, well organized and able to work independently and consistently.
+ Persuasive customer service skills a plus.
+ Strong PC skills required.
