MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS:
7:00 A.M TO 7:00 P.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Must be willing to work overtime.
Pay rate begins at $22.77 and tops out at $27.17

JOB SUMMARY
Works under general supervision to process the castings from etch through final gauging (including heat treat) as prescribed by the PMS/product criteria, visual specifications and QAS specifications to meet customer requirements. Dimensionally gauges and adjusts dimensions to comply with the prescribed written instructions using a variety of gauges and special tools. The employee must plan and perform the proper sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes.
Performs highly complex tasks, working independently with little supervision to provide critical heat treatment for castings per written instructions and SOPs. Responsible for attainment of metallurgical properties often detectable only by destructive testing. Responsible for decisions during heat treat cycles to avoid scrap. Requires concentration and/or attention for short periods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Using Computers (entering information, etc.)
+ Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
+ Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
+ Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
+ Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HEAT TREAT
+ Selects castings to satisfy production schedules and furnace capacity.
+ Must be able to learn the computers for each furnace, putting in heat treat runs and making changes in programs when necessary.
+ Must be able to perform multiple operations simultaneously.
+ Verifies castings and routing ticket information.
+ Programs controls for furnace runs with responsibility for correct times and temperature. Monitors these operating parameters. Malfunctions must be reported to supervisor and then to metallurgical services for disposition.
+ Makes routine entries on charts and routing tickets and logs extensive data in logbooks and traceability reports.
+ Operates hardness testing equipment and interprets and logs readings.
+ Operates atmosphere furnaces for steels and aluminum as well as vacuum furnaces for super alloys, controlling all parameters.
+ Directs helpers in loading, unloading, stamping, and punching as well as training them for future operator jobs.
+ Maintains equipment in good working conditions, doing minor maintenance and writing work orders for major maintenance items.
+ Relates written status of running heat treats and run information to subsequent shift personnel.
+ Work requires attention to safety practices and procedures
+ Must be able to pass annual certification test. (heat treat)
+ Level II - Must be able to read decimals, fractions, and use various devices such as magnifying glass, borescopes, etc. for inspection of castings being a semi-complex task.
+ Performs other duties as required.
+ Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
+ Works Overtime when needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR GRAIN ETCH OPERATOR
1. Works closely with Production Control to meet specific schedules.
2. Verifies casting and routing card information for completion of prior operations.
3. Must pass certification test concerning quality documents on proper procedures in Chemical Cleaning (Level I) once a year.
4. Must pass certification test concerning quality documents on proper procedures in Grain Etch Inspection (Level II) once a year.
5. Mixes and maintains etching solutions per written instructions.
6. Inspects all tanks, timers, gauges and solutions used for proper calibrations and contents of solutions, must maintain records of all dates of calibrations and solution checks.
7. Level II - Inspects casting for grain size, surface discontinuities and other metal/structural conditions, sorts acceptable and unacceptable castings, records all defects by reason on specific log reports.
8. Process castings through specific acid solutions as required on Process Method Sheet (PMS).
9. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
10. Works Overtime when needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR METAL CELL OPERATOR
1. Verifies castings to the lot travelers to assure that all previous operations have been completed.
2. Performs finishing as required using all types of burrs, belts, nylon wheels, finish blast, etc.
3. Understands and uses all dimensional inspection gauges.
4. Ensures that all parts meet PMS/product criteria requirements.
5. Calibrates gauges to set masters as applicable.
6. Inspects according to written instructions using electronic or manual gauges.
7. Adjusts and/or repairs out of tolerance castings using small hand tools, air gun, arbor press, and special fixtures to bring castings into tolerance.
8. Records information on proper paperwork such as SRON’s.
9. Cleans and lubricates gauges as required.
10. Notifies gauge maintenance technician of gauges that may need repair.
11. Maintains work area in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
12. Takes technical direction from product engineering and gauge technician, (i.e., techniques, instructions, etc.).
13. Performs other operations as required.
14. Performs first visual inspection.
15. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
• Works Overtime when needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic Computer skills.
• 3 months experience as an MCO.
