Are you an experienced Controller looking to grow your career with a publicly traded Fortune 500 advanced manufacturing company right here in Vermont? Then STC Material Solutions is looking for you! We are on the hunt for an ambitious and experienced Controller to own the accounting and reporting functions for two closely related subsidiaries of IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX). In this role you will be the key player driving a world-class monthly closing cycle and ensuring compliance with world-class financial controls. We are striving for excellence and growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Oversee, maintain and manage the general ledgers of two companies and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
+ Manage the monthly accounting close process and attain corporate reporting deadlines.
+ Manage and develop direct reports including the Assistant Controller and AP Administrator.
+ Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
+ Help the Finance Director and FP&A Senior Analyst to forecast monthly and quarterly financial performance including unusual or one-off items.
+ Analyze and communicate key drivers of company financial results to leadership.
+ Partner across the organization to identify opportunities for efficiency within both financial and operational processes.
+ Provide ad-hoc financial analysis.
+ Manage banking activity.
+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to achieve working capital performance goals and provide working capital forecasts.
+ Assist customers, vendors, and employees with finance and accounting processes.
+ Coordinate activities with internal auditors as necessary.
+ Maintain and ensure compliance with financial controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley and IDEX Key Controls.
+ Assist in budget preparation.
+ Support the Finance Director and other leaders with projects as required.
+ Support the ongoing program of integration with IDEX, including an upcoming migration to a new MRP.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Five years’ finance and accounting experience with manufacturing background preferred.
+ CPA accreditation and previous experience in public accounting preferred.
+ BS degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Collaborative and helpful attitude with employees, vendors and customers.
+ Advanced skills in MS Excel and MRP systems. Experience in Infor/Visual products or JD Edwards/Oracle products is a plus.
+ Excellent knowledge of GAAP.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ People management skills, including teaching, coaching and collaboration.
Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $165,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plans.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed on site in St. Albans, Vermont. Office work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but substantial time on the shop floor is required, which can be noisy and dusty, as well as hot during the summer. Movement between our three buildings under all Vermont weather conditions will be a necessary part of the job. Proper safety equipment is provided by STC where necessary. Travel is anticipated to be a low percentage of the time. One or two trips per year to our Santa Clara, California site may be assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work involves standing and walking for moderate periods of time, with some duties performed from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed materials and computer screens. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods, and changing priorities may cause increased stress levels. Work may include occasional lifting and carrying objects or pushing/pulling carts weighing approximately 50 pounds, such as products, tools, gages, and equipment. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboards at a moderate skill level. Repetitive motion injuries may occur. The company will provide adaptive devices as needed.

Total Rewards
