    Position Overview

    Our team is growing! We are looking for a Tool Technician to join our team in San Antonio!

     

    The Tool Technician ensures that all tools and equipment are in proper working condition. This includes inspecting, repairing, calibrating, assembling, and maintaining a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic tools. The role may also involve managing tool inventory, supporting production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + The Tool Technician is responsible for the setup, calibration, maintenance, and repair of production tooling and equipment to ensure efficient operations

    + Supports the Tool Technician Lead and team by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production quality

    + Includes maintaining accurate documentation of tool setups, calibrations, repairs, and part replacements in compliance with internal quality and safety standards

    + Assists in managing spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available to prevent production delays, and supporting backup tooling as needed

    + Has proficiency with advanced tooling software, such as Tools Net 8 and Tools Talk 2.0, required for monitoring tool performance, logging activities, and assisting with tool programming and configuration

    + Involves supporting process improvements, implementing tooling upgrades, and following work instructions to ensure consistent performance and compliance

    + Requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency

    + Plays a key role in supporting the team and maintaining optimal tooling performance for production goals

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tool technician, maintenance or related role in manufacturing

    OR

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Technical certificate or Associate degree in industrial maintenance

    Additional Requirements

    + Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

    + Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift):

    + Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl

    + Climb using both legs and arms

    + Head/neck movement

    + Reach outward or above the shoulder

    + Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles

    + Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds

    + Repetitive use of hands and fingers

    + Use of vibrating tools

    + Depth perceptions required

    + Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color

    + Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces

    + Other duties as assigned
