The Sr. Director, Commercial Growth & Alliances (North America) is a senior leader responsible for driving top-line growth and expanding embecta’s reach across medical supplies, diagnostics, and consumables, leveraging existing core capabilities and infrastructure. This role combines strategic partnership development with commercial leadership, leveraging deep industry experience to build high-impact alliances, scale new distribution agreements, and unlock new revenue streams through innovative business models and diversified access channels.
The ideal candidate excels at transforming flat or mature markets into growth opportunities and is recognized for delivering measurable results in complex healthcare environments. This role will report into and advise the SVP, President of North America on new revenue drivers and external opportunities that the region and/or countries should pursue to drive growth that will have long term impact on organizational strategic goals.
S** **trategic Partner Development
• Identify, evaluate, and cultivate new partnership opportunities aligned with embecta’s growth strategy and market trends.
• Lead outreach, relationship and trust building, and deal structuring with health systems, retail, long-term care, digital platforms, and emerging channels.
• Forge alliances with manufacturers and digital health platforms to expand distribution and access.
• Contribute a robust network of external relationships and demonstrate the ability to activate those connections to generate new opportunities.
Alliance Management & Commercialization
• Serve as the primary liaison for strategic partners, ensuring alignment on goals, performance metrics, and joint initiatives.
• Negotiate enterprise contracts with hospital systems, health networks, and national diagnostic chains, diversifying revenue streams and expanding patient access.
• Secure multi-year provider network partnerships generating significant annual revenue and expanding reach to millions of patients.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Legal, and Finance to operationalize new alliances and integrate partnerships into commercial operations, including contracting, pricing, and supply chain coordination.
Growth Enablement & Innovation
• Develop programs and initiatives that leverage partnerships to expand access to embecta’s products and services in non-core channels.
• Explore and activate new distribution models, including employer wellness programs and alternative care settings.
• Deliver innovation in flat or mature markets, consistently achieving double-digit growth and national recognition for sales performance.
Performance Tracking & Strategic Insights
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor partnership success and inform future strategy.
• Author national sales enablement tools and publish thought leadership to support clinical and commercial adoption.
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ 15+ years of experience, in high-impact, revenue generating roles, ideally in medical device and consumables or pharmaceuticals.
+ Distributor & Channel Partnerships (Health Systems, Retail, Long-Term Care).
+ Proven record of transforming flat markets into growth opportunities by diversifying access channels and unlocking new revenue streams.
Preferred Requirements:
+ Ability to lead through ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete information, and guide teams toward clarity and Influence with direct and indirect authority.
+ Sales Force Scale-Up & Leadership.
+ Strategic Partnerships with Digital Platforms.
+ History of developing different pricing and contracting frameworks for diversified business portfolios.
_Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $_ 189,500.00
_- $267,000(subject to variation depending on physical location)._

_Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards package at embecta, which also includes eligibility for_ _a sales incentive bonus_ _and an annual LTI award.
