    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Essential functions include but are not limited to:

    + Responsible for the operational performance of the team to achieve business objectives, initiating hands-on approach when appropriate.

    + Responsible for all people issues across the shift including absence control, discipline and grievance handling. Full support of this will be given through the Human Resources Department as required.

    + Responsible for ensuring that all associates on the team comply at all times to health, safety, environmental and Quality Systems.

    + Responsible for ensuring that all associates on the team receives appropriate training where necessary in order to maintain compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.

    + Working closely with the Production Scheduler/Supply Chain to implement the production schedule and ensure it is understood and clearly communicated.

    + Must ensure all production areas are continually supplied with the relevant components.

    + Ensure all products are manufactured as specified within the Quality System, and to organize corrective action to maintain the product and the accepted quality levels.

    + Participate in the team process of recruitment of new personnel, good employee relations, and the development of team members by an ongoing assessment of each individual. Support disciplinary procedures as appropriate.

    + Motivate, encourage and involve all team members in continuous improvement programs. Have input into new processes and liaise closely with support teams and groups. Facilitate team meetings as necessary.

    + Administer Vacation authorization and attendance registration per the company policy and effectively communicate upon these to HR and Payroll as appropriate.

    + Adhere to manufacturing schedules. Maintain effective control by the management of specific lots. Make changes to materials, manning and production when required to react to changes in the schedule.

    + Maintain regular and clear communication on the status of all activities within the area.

    + Ensure all reviews are completed on time.

    + Ensuring an effective shift handover takes place.

    + Leads by example

    + Undertake any other reasonable task/request as the position and job requires to achieve the overall Plant objectives.

    Basic Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (engineering, business or related major) or commensurate experience.

     

    2+ years of experience leading people in a structured environment preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Requirements:

    3+ years prior manufacturing supervision experience.
