    Corteva Agriscience is offering an exciting and challenging postdoctoral opportunity focused on the development of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in mammalian toxicology with applications in regulatory toxicology. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of experimental and regulatory mammalian toxicologists to advance _in vitro_ models for identifying potential endocrine disruptors, as well as contribute to projects involving molecular and _in vivo_ carcinogen assessments. This position is part of the Genetic and Molecular Toxicology group within Corteva’s Mammalian Toxicology Center, located in Newark, Delaware.

    What You’ll Do:

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively within Corteva’s mammalian toxicology team, lead research on in vitro models for predictive and mode of action investigations of crop protection molecules, for example liver-thyroid mediated toxicity. Also, will apply molecular techniques such as Next-Generation Sequencing and RT-qPCR for the identification of potential chemical carcinogenesis. The postdoctoral scholar will be encouraged to communicate research outcomes through publication in peer-reviewed journals, participation in scientific community working groups, and presentations at key scientific conferences. This is an incredible opportunity where the candidate would also expand the boundaries of NAMs application in regulatory science.

    What Skills You Need:

    + PhD in the fields of cellular and molecular biology, genomics, mammalian toxicology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or related disciplines with a strong publication history.

    + Demonstrated experience with in vitro models development.

    + Experience in molecular biology and genetics/genomics including, qPCR, NGS library prep, sequencing, data management, and analysis.

    + Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills that allow dissemination of complex technical issues in a clear, concise manner to a variety of scientific and non-scientific audiences.

    + Keen interest in working in a dynamic, exciting industry and applying scientific information for protection of human health.

    + Strong experience in the new approach methodologies development is required.
