The Charleston Field Service Operations (FSO) team is stationed **on-site** at Boeing’s North Charleston 787 production site and is responsible for on-site support of products supplied by Collins Aerospace for Boeing aircraft and also provides technical support of Collins products supplied to Spirit Aerosystems Boeing 787 Forward Fuselage section production in Wichita Kansas. Support deliverables include:
+ **Operations Support** : Works with Boeing and Collins BU Value Stream Operations team to resolve issues holding Collins Aerospace products in the customer’s receiving and shipping areas and provides assistance for emerging program issues. Supports weekly delivery cadence reviews with Boeing and BU Value Stream Operations team.
+ **Quality Support:** Works with Collins BU Value Stream Quality to resolve issues affecting products in the delivery pipeline, and to manage on-site NOE containment activities. Monitors and reports progress on all such activities.
+ **Planned Change Incorporation** : Works with Boeing and Collins BU Project Engineering to plan product change incorporation activities involving component replacement or modification (flight test and production) on-site, including preparation and publication of on-wing procedures used by FSO On-Wing Vendor Assist (OWVA) teams of technicians and quality delegated inspectors. Manages vendor assist activities for timely completion of all change incorporation activities.
+ **Emergent Issue Resolution:** Manages vendor assist activities for timely resolution of all emergent product issues impacting customer aircraft production & operations. Reviews and accepts incoming emergent work instructions and adds to work queue, and coordinates daily with Boeing for prioritization of open work and for closure of work completed by the site FSO OWVA teams.
+ **Spirit Technical Support:** Works with Spirit Supplier Managers, Engineers, and Production Test personnel to troubleshoot aircraft systems and components, validate issues, and provide recommendation for resolution of issues. Coordinates with BU engineering and value stream teams and supplier technical representatives as needed to ensure timely resolution of open issues.
What You Will Do
+ Oversight of the OWVA teams and all resources necessary to provide this support on their assigned shift.
+ Proactively and routinely coordinate with interfacing on-site Collins Aerospace support teams, Boeing functional groups, and business unit value stream stakeholders to ensure positive progress and closure of ongoing emergent support & change incorporation activities on their assigned shift.
+ Track and update status and progress of all support provided on their assigned shift, ensuring completed OWVA records and relevant support artifacts are attached to support entries.
+ Perform routine audits of activities supported by the OWVA team on their assigned shift to ensure compliance with work instructions and safety requirements
Candidates best suited for this role are highly professional, lead by example, are dependable, adaptable, capable of working independently in a fast-paced customer production environment, **willing to support first & second shifts as needed, and able to respond to emergency support requests during off-hours.**
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License and solid familiarity with airfield operations
+ Experience with regulatory requirements (14 CFR part 21/43/45, FAA Order 8900.1, AS9100) and Collins Aerospace’s Engineering, Operations, and Quality processes
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment with multiple functions in the customer and in Collins Power & Controls organizations including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Contracts to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
+ Technical aptitude, general platform knowledge, specification & drawing familiarity, troubleshooting skills
+ Microsoft Office and SAP experience
+ Experience leading on-site quality investigations
+ Must be able to travel 5-10%

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
