In this position...
+ Setup Seat Whiplash models and load cases for analysis
+ Work with internal resources to develop detailed models and methodologies for analysis
+ Develop seat design solutions working with seat structures, trim, and restraints engineering teams.
+ Make recommendations for seat content and design alternatives to deliver whiplash performance.
+ Assess seat modeling guidelines and recommend revisions and improvements to reduce computing time and improve accuracy.
+ Attend physical tests and review results with Design and Release and CAE teams to develop correlations.
+ Lead analysis to support design changes impacting whiplash performance across multiple platforms, vehicle tophats, and regions.
What you'll do...
+ Develop detailed seat models for whiplash analysis. Includes mechanisms, restraints, structure, foam and trim.
+ Analyze whiplash results and provide insights
+ Perform physical test to CAE correlation for whiplash
+ Guide design engineers in seat development for whiplash performance.
You'll have...
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent (Master's Degree Preferred)
+ 10 years of General CAE experience in non-linear LS-DYNA.
+ 5 years plus in Seat CAE overall experience.
+ 5 years plus of specific whiplash CAE experience.
+ Familiarity with FMVSS, IIHS, Euro- NCAP, Latin-NCAP, China-NCAP, Japan-NCAP regulations.
+ Modeling and analysis experience with BioRID 2 dummies
+ CAE leadership experience delivering whiplash requirements to programs.
