JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data across multiple sites within Graphic Packaging International (GPI). The this role provides coordination and transactional support for general Ledger accounts payable accounts receivable and month end close activities while maintaining compliance within GPI's internal controls and corporate accounting policies. The role will provide accounting support within the Finance department, with a primary focus on accounts payable. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Prepare, process, and reconcile journal entries accruals and intercompany transactions
+ Support month in quarter end and year end close activities including variance analysis and reconciliations
+ Process vendor invoices, credit memos, and payment requests; ensuring proper coding and approvals
+ Assist with AR collection efforts, posting of cash receipts, and customer account reconciliation.
+ Collaborate with plant and incorporate teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure data integration in ERP system
+ Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports to support management decisions making.
+ Maintain accounts payable files.
+ Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
+ Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
+ Manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Associate’s Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience in a converting facility is preferred.
+ 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
+ Working knowledge of GAAP and strong understanding of the full accounting cycle
+ Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system required
+ Advanced Excel Skill (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
+ Exposure to cost accounting or manufacturing accounting processes
+ Previous experience in a shared services or multi-site accounting environment
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
+ General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment; however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
+ Occasional overnight travel includes flying, driving, riding or by rail.
Pay Range:** **$41,200.00** - **$51,500.00
