Position Summary...
This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with legal, policy and business stakeholders as well as other areas within compliance to implement programs that minimize regulatory risk around claims the company makes about products we sell. This role will also manage other members of the Consumer Protection Compliance team to help drive compliance through program execution and continuous improvement.
What you'll do...
Join Walmart’s Consumer Protection Compliance team as a Director focusing on product and packaging claim compliance. As a critical team member, you will be responsible for building trust with our customers and helping to shape and enhance controls designed to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, including Section 5 of the FTC Act and state unfair and deceptive acts and practice (UDAP) laws. You will:
+ Provide strategic direction for our product and packaging claim compliance programs through documenting policies, standards and controls, and creating KPIs and other methods to measure program efficacy.
+ Lead cross-functional efforts to set up processes that preserve regulatory compliance within business workflows (compliance by design).
+ Work with product and technology teams to implement automated controls related to claim verification and substantiation.
+ Effectively collaborate with senior internal stakeholders to establish best-in-class compliance programs for claim verification and substantiation in various product categories.
+ Coordinate with senior legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with claim verification and substantiation requirements, including through monitoring and testing as well as mitigation efforts.
+ Proactively assess risks related to product and packaging claims.
+ Work with the Group Director to identify and mitigate emerging consumer protection compliance risks.
What you’ll bring….
+ Experience working in compliance and/or acting as a subject matter expert in federal or state consumer protection law.
+ Experience building and executing compliance programs, interpreting legal obligations and determining business impact.
+ A process-mindset and a solid track record of delivering operational efficiencies to a program risk and/or compliance program.
+ Experience leading teams and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
+ Strategic and collaborative compliance leadership that employs a growth mindset to translate business challenges into actionable solutions.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and credibility and inspire associates across the business.
+ Being action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead change.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
