**Finance Manager,** this position is _on-site_ at our Vascular manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico.

The Opportunity
This position will provide support to our **Medical Devices, Vascular manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico.** Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks and Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.
As the **Financial Manager** you will supervises, coordinates and is accountable for all activities related to general accounting, treasury, capital projects, cost accounting (standards development and variances analysis), results reporting and schedules, financial planning, and projections or what-if scenarios. The role is responsible for the synchronization and end-results deliverables related to accounts payable and payroll for the site. The Financial Manager is also responsible for overseeing adherence to corporate policies and procedures in the finance area and interpreting corporate policies and tax matters related to the site. Coordinates activities and deliverables related to external and internal financial audits and reporting schedules related to taxes. Recommends measures to improve financial processes and suggests changes to increase efficiency. Incumbent decisions will have a significant impact on employees, vendors, and operations. As a Financial Manager you must be an operations-oriented person, besides being business savvy with strong analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
+ Execute all the functions and activities associated with the managerial cost accounting section, such as budget preparation, standard cost generation, manufacturing product costing, manufacturing variance (direct labor, material and overhead) analysis, inventory reconciliations, forecasting and projections, for both entity and performance.
+ Ensure proper tracking of Puerto Rico budgets for Abbott Vascular PR. Ensure controls are in line with corporate policies to ensure company assets are protected, and to avoid and/or detect occurrences of fraud.
+ Responsible for the supervision of the general accounting and cost accounting groups, includes maintaining and adequate and properly trained staff capable of performing required functions. Supervision and assistance to the Manufacturing IT area ensuring systems are running in a smooth manner. Also responsible for the introduction and upgrades to manufacturing systems (SAP, electronic lot history records, etc.
+ Responsible for the preparation, development and presentation of operating financial plans/updates to the Controller and Division. Responsible for the coordination, gathering and recording in the books of accounts necessary financial data to assure the issuance of timely monthly financial statements (Flash and MFRP).
+ Responsible for the economical evaluation of request for capital expenditures (RCE's) and monitoring of approvals, cash commitments and capitalization of assets. Participation in the identification, financial evaluation and implementation of products cost reduction program. Responsible for the verification that cash funds commitments and cash expenditures be made in compliance with the Corporate Financial Manual (CFM) and corresponding signature authority.
+ Assist local management team in the financial analysis, cost projections and explanation of variances from manufacturing standards or budgets. Assure data security system and procedures are followed and are working effectively to assure data integrity for accurate reporting to management.
+ Interacts with internal and external customers, including auditors, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures. Interprets and executes policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
+ To ensure smooth operations, the Finance Manager's decisions are supported and approved by the Operations Controller. Must be highly motivated and self-starter. The accuracy of information significantly influences the operating and business decisions that will affect the site performance.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance is required.
+ Minimum of 8 years of combined experience in cost accounting, financial analysis and supervisory roles, including at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Spanish, plus proficiency in understanding and using regulatory terminology.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's degree is highly valued and considered a plus.
+ CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred; it enhances technical expertise and career advancement opportunities.
+ SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing) knowledge is preferred.

The base pay for this position is $88,700.00 – $177,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
