Overview

Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities include preparing equipment for delivery to customers and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

+ Prepare equipment for delivery to customers based on the daily scheduler (includes but is not limited to unpacking, installing, testing, preparing and assembling required parts prior to loading on trucks, when necessary).

+ Load and unload delivery trucks using 2-wheeled hand cart and/or fork lift to move equipment.

+ Strip used parts from retired machines.

+ Utilize mechanical and electrical abilities to work on equipment. This may include the building or rebuilding of machines.

+ Ensure that all work is conducted in a safe manner, comply with government safety regulations and company safety policy.

+ Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Required Education & Experience:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent; and at least 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

+ Effective oral and written communications. Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to employees.

+ Basic computer and smart phone skills.

Special Requirements, Licenses, or Certificates:

+ Ability to follow directions.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment.

+ The ability to read schematics.

+ Experience with power and hand tools.

+ Maintain valid forklift certification per local government regulation and company policy.

Physical Requirements:

+ Specific physical demands may vary based on assigned geography or equipment.

+ Must be able to lift up to 35-100 pounds and will frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions (both weather and non-weather related).

+ Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers and/or dryer and/or air machines.

+ Ability to maneuver to restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing 20-50 lbs.
