The Digital Deposits Product Owner leads the vision, roadmap, and delivery of digital priorities for deposit products and related digital experiences. This role collaborates with business, technology, and analytics partners to develop, prioritize, and deliver on the strategic vision for new deposit products, services, and experiences. The Product Owner leverages agile methodologies to drive transformation from project-based to product-based teams, maximizing customer experience and business value.
The Digital Product Owner will use a collaborative approach and “digital-first” mindset to help Citizens create and implement innovative products and solutions while obsessing over our customer's digital experiences.
A successful Product Owner will be able to clearly articulate and 'sell' a strategy/vision (develop and tell a story, measure impact/results), as well as execute the vision which requires a deeper technical focus including writing business requirements, overseeing design, and ensuring successful delivery with their Agile pod.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Define and communicate the overall vision for digital deposit products, ensuring alignment with journey digitization OKRs and financial outcomes. Transform high-level strategy into actionable requirements and deliverables.
+ Develop and implement product roadmaps and capabilities to support business and customer needs. Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business priorities.
+ Serve as a key leader on Agile teams, facilitating release planning, demos, and continuous learning. Ensure pod mobilization plans and charters are refined and aligned with organizational objectives.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to ensure strong collaboration and execution of requirements. Facilitate solutions across the organization, including identification and prioritization of cross-journey enablers.
+ Integrate product research and requirements to deliver frictionless customer experiences, enhance satisfaction, and ensure customer-centric design. Lead product demos and reviews.
+ Analyze team results and agile metrics, communicate progress on product roadmap, and drive continuous improvement through innovation and iteration.
+ Develop effective definitions of done and acceptance criteria to ensure quality and scope. Ensure alignment with banking regulations and data privacy laws.
+ Foster a culture of empowerment, ownership, and innovation. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and mentorship to team members.
Required Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of experience in product development, digital strategy, or process/user interface design, preferably in consumer banking or deposit products.
+ Proven experience designing and executing vision/strategy, with leadership and cross-functional alignment on complex initiatives.
+ Strong collaboration skills and ability to facilitate new ideas and problem-solving.
+ Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), design thinking, and requirements analysis.
+ Ability to synthesize data and research to drive product development and enable digitization.

Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Hours & Work Schedule
+ Hours per Week: 40
+ Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
+ Hybrid, 4 days on site from a Citizens corporate office, 1 day remote.
