    BU Director, Site Leader

     

    _We are looking for a highly enthusiastic leader with exceptional communication skills and with proven business and people leadership skills combined with a software product background and Tactical Data Link (TDL) expertise to be a key member of the Defense Solutions-TCG leadership team reporting to the Group General Manager._

    YOUR CHALLENGE:

    As the site P&L leader overseeing the Engineering team, Program and Product Management team, the Sales team and other site centric operations, you will have primary focus on ensuring that all required business processes and practices are followed and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The position is responsible for improving the performance of the business and for growing revenues, including the promotion, preparation and reporting of key performance metrics. Beyond the leadership of the site including day-to-day commercial activities, management of all functions and overseeing activities related to the US defense program efforts and cleared personnel at the site, the Senior Director will implement the TCG Business Unit Strategy locally, with a focus on budget management, US and international customer management, business case assessments, engineering execution to cost and schedule, as well as ensuring that all of the site needs are being met.

     

    Manage overall business performance of the site. Develops and implements strategies to produce short and long-term growth, reviewing current strategies and operating plans and determine immediate and longer-term action to be pursued. Leads the identification and development of new business opportunities and core areas for growth. Responsible for establishing and meeting commitments for on-time, on-budget product line delivery for new products, including quality and documentation.

     

    Provides a central focus for program execution excellence including program solution definition, technology capability development, long range planning (staff and technology needs) and production efficiency identification and execution.

     

    Develops and maintains relationships with customers and outside agencies, third party providers, etc. Provides leadership across the organization for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.

     

    Ensures compliance with company standards for revenues, efficiencies, cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete on-time delivery, and manages compliance with local and national regulatory bodies.

    YOUR EXPERTISE:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required), Master’s degree in relevant discipline (preferred)

    + A minimum of 7 years relevant experience leading a high-performance engineering and product development organization with a focus on software development

    + Experience with Tactical Data Links as a member of industry or active military

    + Experience in, and a proven track record of successfully managing a P&L of $50M plus

    + A strong software product background

    + A successful track record in business development, program management, and operations

    + The ability to provide strong leadership, developing trust and confidence in staff and senior leadership

    + A proven track record for delivering new products to market on cost and on schedule

    + Ability to travel as needed to support customers and the business unit, including travel domestically as well as for international clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia

    + The ability to efficiently and effectively oversee lean operations and continuous improvement across business.

    + The proven ability to quickly adapt to new strategies and business directions

    + The ability to make decisions based on data and sound business judgement

    + The ability to articulate a vision for the site and the business

    + The ability to nurture and maintain strong customer and business relationships

    + A proven track record of successfully managing risk versus reward

    + Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

    + The ability to manage conflict and conflicting demands

    + Ability to develop talent – both as individuals and teams with a strong coaching ability

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a personal security clearance

    **SALARY:** $200,000 - $250,000 plus bonus opportunities
