    Overview

     

    Under the direction of the Director/VP of Product Management, the Sr. Product Manager is responsible for formulation and execution of a fully integrated product strategy from concept, through development, launch and sales, to the planned end of life, focused specifically on Production Print products.

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for the full product life cycle from product concept to end of life.

    + Official signature responsibility for product related materials and acceptance.

    + Responsible for delivering product planning unit forecast plans, profitability analysis and sell through strategy.

    + Preparation and implementation of product marketing strategy and analysis activities in coordination with Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) goals and objectives.

    + Direct efforts of competitive analysis to keep abreast of current market conditions and trends.

    + Oversee the maintenance of a competitive database that includes pricing, advertising, promotional activities, specifications, and analysis.

    + Assist with the development and implementation of activities related to pricing, programs, machine option ratios, collateral materials development and public relations interface and general marketing support as required by the product segment.

    + Responsible for creating product specific collateral material (i.e. Product Launch Kits, TCO Tools, Product presentations, competitive analysis, product positioning statement, etc).

    + Support and coordinate public relations activities.

    + Work in a team with other Product Management team members under the direction of the Director/VP of Product Management on special projects, R&D and to develop coordinated full line strategy proposals and presentations.

    + Coordinate and manage sales strategy by supporting channel and sales teams.

    + Lead/support the preparation/presentation of special major account presentations.

    + Review/coordinate major account support needs (e.g. product tests, product delivery coordination etc.).

    + Assist the product/sales training and support departments with required component development.

    + Participation in PSI to ensure proper inventory and transition management.

    + Identify features and functions necessary for inclusion into future products based on an in-depth survey of market needs and present these in the form of a proposal to Sharp Japan.

    + Manage and maintain database of features or functions requests input from Sharp staff, dealers and customers.

    + Provide analysis of competitive products.

    + Assist Sharp Japan in the development of detailed product specifications for new Digital Multifunction Products and Printers.

    + Review engineering designs and specifications and provide feedback to Sharp Japan.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum five years experience in B2B business technology product management.

    + Strong knowledge of High speed Multi-Function Products and associated workflows and software.

    + High level of proficiency and skill in PC and PC application software including MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Networking and latest technology trends.

    + Advanced experience with market trends and analysis.

    + Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

    + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or computer science required as well as related business experience.

    + Up to 25% travel within continental US.

    Compensation for this position

     

    The compensation range for this role is $135,000-$170,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
