Children who spend significant time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) (https://www.childrenshospital.org/programs/nicu-program) after birth, due to preterm birth (https://www.childrenshospital.org/conditions/prematurity) or complex medical problems, may benefit from special monitoring and interventions after hospital discharge. The NICU Growth and Developmental Support Program (NICU GraDS) provides ongoing medical and developmental evaluation, and support for these children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate activities and daily operations of NICU GraDS. Schedule and guide families and patients through appointments, and process referrals and prior authorizations.
+ Confer with and advise staff and others to provide technical advice, problem-solving assistance, answers to questions, and program goals; refer to the appropriate department person when unable to respond.
+ Prepare periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
+ May evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods.
+ May review applications or other program documents independently or in conjunction with a supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to the program.
+ May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts and assist with written communication and promotional literature.
+ May plan workshops, meetings, or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling, and participant communications. Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
+ Associate's or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
+ 2 years of relevant experience
+ Organizational skills to effectively organize workload, manage time and resources and schedule and prioritize projects.
+ Independent Thinking skills to provide persistence and determination in the execution of the position requirements.
