Overview
The Technical Lead is responsible for guiding the technical direction, quality, and implementation of systems and tools to support the Exchange’s operations. Acting as the subject matter expert, the Technical Lead oversees technical design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure successful system functionality. The role provides strategic leadership in technical decision-making, mentors project teams, and resolves escalated technical challenges. By collaborating with leadership and technical stakeholders, the Technical Lead ensures interoperability, compliance with standards, and the successful delivery of solutions aligned with project goals.
This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the technical design, architecture, and integration of system components to meet project objectives and ensure alignment with Exchange requirements.
+ Guide technical teams in applying best practices for system design, development, and testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
+ Provide mentorship and direction to team members to enhance technical competencies and ensure adherence to project timelines.
+ Monitor and validate the quality of technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with contractual, security, and technical standards.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for system architecture, providing technical recommendations that advance the Exchange’s goals.
+ Oversee efforts in CRM, telephony, APIs, and other system integrations to optimize technical performance and interoperability.
+ Coordinate and lead the implementation of system updates and releases, including planning, testing, and defect resolution.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and continuous improvement of systems.
+ Collaborate closely with the Technical Manager and other Key Staff to ensure technical implementation aligns with operational and service delivery goals.
+ Support Exchange API usage and integrations to enable efficient and reliable data exchange between systems.
+ Ensure compliance with data security protocols, providing technical direction on secure development practices and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Provide regular updates and technical progress reports to leadership, documenting potential risks and proposed solutions.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, OR equivalent work experience (minimum 2 years for equivalency).
+ Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
+ 5+ years of technical leadership experience in system architecture, software development, or integration engineering.
+ Hands-on experience with CRM tools, APIs, and data interfaces.
+ Proven ability to resolve escalated technical issues in medium-to-large scale projects.
+ Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

+ Strong background in system architecture, APIs, testing, and deployment.
+ Excellent leadership and team mentorship capabilities.
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills, particularly with CRM and API-integrated technologies.
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
+ Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
+ Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
+ Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
+ Certifications in project management (PMP, ScrumMaster) or DevOps (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
+ Experience with large public sector projects, particularly those involving healthcare or customer support systems.
+ Familiarity with modern cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
+ Experience in advanced API integration and performance optimization.

Pay Range
USD $35,000.00 - USD $77,000.00 /Yr.
