Ed Herrington Inc. is currently seeking full time driver. Drivers for daytime local route deliveries. Home every night.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday – 7am – 4pm

Every other Saturday

Essential Job Responsibilities:

+ · Readily complies with all DOT required testing and training regulations.

+ · Drives truck to destination & prepares receipts for load picked up. Delivers invoices for goods delivered.

+ · Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.

+ · Loads and unloads truck.

+ · Inspects truck equipment & supplies such as tires, tie-downs, lights, brakes, gas, oil, & water. Daily completes and files maintenance report.

+ · Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.

+ · Confers with customers and company officials to resolve complaints.

+ · Reports all accidents, near misses, and traffic stops to direct or departmental supervisor immediately.

+ · Performs Yard/Warehouse activities when not assigned driving duties.

Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License, Having a CDL Class A or B, a plus.

Comply with all DOT Laws and Regulations

Preferred one-year delivery driving experience.

Forklift training and demonstrated continuing forklift operation competency required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee will need to frequently communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Frequently needs to lift and/or move items that weigh up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
