As a **Security Officer – Unarmed Logistics Patrol** in **Bessemer, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and assets. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to provide peace of mind, and engage with others using strong communication and exceptional customer service skills. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order at the location.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the logistics and distribution environment to support access control and help to deter unauthorized entry.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols or while on duty.

+ Communicate and work closely with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to support a secure environment within the logistics and distribution location.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
