    Our client, a leading organization in the data center and critical facility management industry, is seeking a dedicated Data Center Building Engineer to join their team. As a Data Center Building Engineer, you will be an integral part of the operations team supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring seamless data center performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Data Center Building Engineer

    **Location:** Abilene, TX

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all data center building systems to ensure 100% uptime.

    + Manage electrical and mechanical infrastructure including UPS, generators, cooling systems, HVAC, chillers, and fire/life safety systems.

    + Analyze system operations, identify malfunctions, and implement corrective actions promptly.

    + Ensure compliance with safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

    + Coordinate work orders, manage vendor relationships, and handle customer-facing tickets efficiently.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Minimum of 2+ years experience working in a data center or critical facility environment.

    + Experience with building systems such as UPS, emergency generators, and switchgears.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Proficiency with computer applications including MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.

    + Ability to work physically demanding tasks including walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights.
