Our client, a leader in cold storage and warehouse logistics, is seeking dedicated Warehouse Operators to join their team. As a Warehouse Operator working in cold storage, you will be an essential part of the operations team supporting efficient storage, handling, and shipment of products. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working in a cold storage environment and able to demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Pick / Pack Associates & Forklift Operators
**Location:** Independence, MO
**Pay Range:** $17.00/hr + $1.00 shift differential - Pick / Pack Associates
$19.50/hr + $1.00 shift differential - Forklift Operators
Shift:
**1st Shift** - Order picking, Packing, Palletizing - Outbound
Sunday 8am – 5:30pm
Monday 7am – 7pm
Tuesday 8am-5:30pm
Wednesday 8am – 5:30pm
Thursday 8am – 5:30pm
Friday 8am – 5:30pm
**2** **nd** **Shift** – Mostly pallet in / pallet out – Restocking inventory and labeling.
Sunday 6pm – 2:30am
Monday 6pm – 6am
Tuesday 6pm – 2:30am
Wednesday 6pm – 2:30am
Thursday 6pm – 2:30am
Friday 6pm – 2:30am
What's the Job?
+ Handle inbound shipments by unloading and moving products safely within cold storage environments.
+ Pick, pack, and prepare products for outbound shipments based on daily orders.
+ Ensure all inventory is accurately counted, inspected for damage, and stored correctly.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols and SOPs.
+ If you have forklift experienced you may use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to locate, stack, and organize inventory efficiently.
What's Needed?
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ At least one year of experience in warehousing, logistics, or related fields.
+ Comfortable working in cold storage environments such as freezers and refrigerators.
+ Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Proficiency with basic technology and warehouse management systems.
