Production Operator (1st Shift)
**Location:** Hot Springs, AR
**Schedule:** Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
**Pay Rate:** $17.34 per hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Production Operator** to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for operating processing equipment, maintaining accurate production documentation, supporting food safety practices, and ensuring product is made to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and prior manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Requirements:
+ Accurately record all raw materials used, machine operations, finished goods, and recycled materials in batch records.
+ Verify and document all applicable production items.
+ Log label and inventory tag information relevant to production.
Processing Machine Operation:
+ Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery to meet product specifications.
+ Identify malfunctions and perform basic troubleshooting.
+ Assemble, disassemble, and clean processing equipment as required.
+ Use testing equipment to confirm product quality.
Product Formulation:
+ Read product labels and raw material requirements.
+ Use scales to measure ingredients accurately.
+ Record all formulation data in the batch record.
Fork Truck Operation:
+ Must pass a written certification test.
+ Safely and effectively operate a forklift according to company standards.
General Duties (Non-Essential but Required):
+ Repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds during an 8–12-hour shift.
+ Perform plant sanitation tasks, including cleaning production and work areas.
+ Handle and dispose of refuse such as cardboard and waste materials.
+ Operate recycling baler equipment (cardboard/plastic).
+ Maintain and stock production supplies and packaging materials.
+ Transport finished goods within the production area.
Food Safety and Compliance:
This role supports our food safety program by following all cGMP standards and helping maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
+ Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
+ Basic math skills and the ability to read and write simple instructions.
+ Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
+ Must have regular and punctual attendance.
