Description
Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Corporate Business Development group as a Principal, focused on the payments, fintech, and lending space. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized team that manages strategic partnerships across all Amazon businesses. As a Corporate Business Development (CorpBD) Leader you will be responsible for generating, executing, and managing some of Amazon’s most complex and high-impact strategic partnership activities. This includes leading deal negotiations which are non-standard in their construct and complexity, need a centralized advocate, and have broader implications to Amazon. You will interact with senior leaders across multiple Amazon businesses.
This key role will be highly visible at the most senior levels of Amazon. You will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to define strategies, determine where our relative advantages or risks lie, and provide thought leadership on longer-term trends in innovation and customer adoption (e.g., payments strategy for agentic commerce). We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical analysis, but are adaptable and action-oriented, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. Identifying and executing strategic partnerships is our primary objective.
The CorpBD Leader will be responsible for designing payments, fintech, and lending specific strategies, as well as other strategic areas of coverage across Amazon, as required. Working closely with CorpBD and business executives, this individual will design an investing strategy in strategic partnerships to create significant leverage.
We are seeking an innovative, creative, analytical, technical and strategic thinker who is passionate about Amazon’s growth in the payments, fintech, and lending space. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with senior cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.
