Description
We are hiring a System Development Engineer to build and maintain cloud infrastructure that powers our marketing, creative production, and content management systems, supporting our stakeholders.
In this role, you'll design scalable cloud-based solutions that integrate AWS services with industry-leading content management and creative automation tools. You'll implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, automated deployment pipelines, and resilient data infrastructure to build a stable foundation for workflows that streamline content creation, discovery, and distribution using both AI and traditional automation methods.
You'll be responsible for transforming business requirements into technical solutions that enhance how the organization manages and shares creative content. This position combines cloud infrastructure expertise with content system integration to deliver measurable improvements to our content services. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work backwards from customer needs to technical solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both technical excellence and leadership in driving complex projects from conception to delivery.

Key job responsibilities
Design and implement highly available infrastructure using AWS services to support content management and AI automation workflows
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code processes to ensure consistent, reliable system deployments
Develop automation solutions that enhance content creation and distribution capabilities across marketing and creative teams
Implement data-driven improvements to optimize system performance and reliability of content services
Collaborate with creative teams and content managers to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks in content workflows
About the team
The Seller External Relations (SER) team ensures that Amazon is viewed globally by external audiences as a valuable, accessible, partner who respects and celebrates the success of its sellers. We create content and tools that demonstrate and celebrate the positive experiences of sellers on Amazon to other sellers, the general public, and influentials (e.g., media and policymakers) with the goal of improving their perception of the experience and benefits of selling in our store.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C+- 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience deploying and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Knowledge of digital file and folder management systems, marketing workflow tools, DAM, and Localization systems
- Experience with digital asset management systems and creative workflows, including marketing tools, DAM, MAM, localization systems, and collaboration with creative teams
- Experience working in a creative pipeline or with creative assets including video, photo, audio, and motion graphics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
