As a centralized Emerging Technologies POC on behalf of a Workforce Staffing (WFS) director-level organization, the Emerging Technologies Specialist is responsible for driving the successful scoping, prioritization, and scaling of technology solutions to streamline processes and enable growth across the org. This role will drive innovation and efficiency through the implementation of emerging technology solutions, with a particular focus on Generative AI and workflow automation technologies, to transform business processes and deliver measurable operational improvements. This role requires balancing innovation with practical implementation, ensuring new technologies are properly validated, securely deployed, and effectively adopted across the organization. This individual would partner closely with WFS Global Innovation and Acceleration (GIA), Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA), and the Workforce Solutions High Volume Hiring Tech (HVH) teams.
This role requires a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, leveraging strong collaboration skills to drive adoption of emerging technologies across diverse teams and functions. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and implementing innovative automation solutions, driving process improvements, and effectively communicating the impact of these technologies to senior leadership. They must be skilled at translating complex technical concepts into practical business applications, while maintaining a consultative approach to identify global opportunities for emerging technology integration. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of Generative AI, workflow automation, and other cutting-edge technologies, coupled with the ability to assess their potential impact on various business verticals.
Key job responsibilities
Centralized Intake Management:
• Execute and maintain the centralized Asana intake system for Cruz Org support requests
• Monitor automated workflow systems and routing rules to ensure proper request distribution
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track cross-team performance metrics
• Partner with support teams to optimize intake processes and improve operational efficiency
AI Tool Validation Program:
• Manage the AI tool submission and validation process through the centralized portal
• Execute the standardized validation framework to assess submitted AI tools
• Maintain the knowledge sharing repository and documentation of approved AI tools
• Coordinate the recognition program for successful AI tool creators
• Track and report program metrics to leadership
Tech Enablement Support:
• Support requirements gathering and documentation for technology solutions
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer needs and tech implementation
• Execute testing and validation of new technology solutions
• Maintain SOPs and training documentation for implemented solutions
• Track and report on key performance metrics
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience coordinating between technical teams, peers and business stakeholders
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)
- • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards
- Experience in problem solving and data analytics
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- • Track record of improving operational efficiency through technology solutions
- • Knowledge of Amazon's technology ecosystem and development processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
