Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy Specialist

**Location:** 1499 6th Street NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, flexible hours

**Salary:** Starting at $72,000+/year, based on experience

Incentives:

+ $10,000 sign-on bonus

+ Student loan assistance: $350/month indefinitely

We are seeking a **full-time Occupational Therapist** with a focus in **Hand Therapy** for our outpatient orthopedic center in Winter Haven, FL.

Who Should Apply:

+ Newly licensed OTs with Level II fieldwork in hand therapy

+ OTs with 1+ year of current hand therapy experience

+ Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) – preferred but not required

Caseload Includes:

+ Tendon injuries

+ Sprains and strains

+ Post-operative fractures

+ Splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

+ Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.

+ Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.

+ Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

+ Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications

+ Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.

+ National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start.

+ Newly licensed OT graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy and Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy

+ Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

+ Valid state driver’s license
