**Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (8:30:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

**Pay Range:** $20.19 - $28.52 per hour

Summary:
Provide support and administration for Medical Student Affairs (MSA), interface with external parties. This position requires the ability to prioritize effectively and to address the needs of several different constituents and programs to assist with MSA’s mission to provide holistic student support. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED required.
• At least two years of work experience.
• Experience in a healthcare or higher education environment is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor.
• Exemplifies the Rush iCARE values.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional with strong keyboard skills.
• Proficiency in multiple video meeting platforms.
• Familiarity with educational terminology.
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, set goals, and manage multiple complicated tasks, working with minimal or no supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Performs as a team player
• Functions as customer-facing lead for the Medical Student Affairs team
• Takes initiative and represents the college independently.
• Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
• Works with faculty and students in a collegial and collaborative manner.
• Ability to anticipate problems before they arise and solve others as they occur.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Five or more years work experience
• Prior experience in medical education
• Experience working across enterprise platforms and learning management systems
Physical Demands:
• Able to sit for extended periods
• Able to work on-site at least 60% of the time
• Able to work extended (10-12 hour) workdays <20x/year
• Able to transport food and parcels short distances (<0.25 miles)
Responsibilities:
• Coordinates and documents all aspects of longitudinal advising, career advising, and academic support.
• Processes applications for student travel programs.
• Provides administrative support for all members of the MSA department.
• Compiles and prepares departmental newsletter.
• Tracks and monitors expenses and budget related to MSA programs.
• Manages clerical and administrative tasks related to the compilation and dissemination of the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE).
• Monitors and manages the Medical Student Affairs’ electronic materials on both intranet pages, websites and within the learning management system and other electronic administrative systems/databases.
• Monitors and manages shared email account.
• Collaborates in the planning and execution of RMC commencement media and programs.
• Coordinates the application process for honor societies, awards, and scholarships, including compiling academic history, CVs, personal statements, collecting the applications, and organizing application reviews.
• Maintains an archive of programs, projects, and presentations across the Medical Student Affairs office.
• Attends department and individual meetings.
• Maintain a general understanding of all Medical Student Affairs services.
• Performs general administrative duties including composing correspondence, coordinating, arranging meetings and performs other duties and projects as needed/assigned.
