    Otolaryngology – Advanced Practice Provider

     

    Rush University Medical Center

    The **Department of Otorhinolaryngology** **at Rush University Medical Center,** a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of **Advanced Practice Provider.**

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Support the **Section of Facial, Plastic, & Reconstructive Surgery** and the **Section of Sleep Surgery** .

    • Work alongside Otolaryngologists, Audiologists, and Advanced Practice Providers.

    • Follow a Monday-Friday schedule.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred.

    • Relevant RN experience may be considered.

    Department Overview:

    • Consists of 20 faculty, 7 Advanced Practice Providers, and 9 audiologists.

    • Provides a comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites in Illinois and Indiana.

    • Currently ranked #19 on US News and World Report, the top-ranked program in Illinois.

     

    The **Advanced Practice Provider (APP)** is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

    Position Requirements:

    Nurse Practitioner:

    + Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse

    + Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position

    + Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

    + Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license

    + Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.

    + CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.

    + Excellent communicator

    + Experience treating patients of all ages

    + Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

    Physician Assistant:

    + Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate

    + Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program

    + Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

    + Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable

    + Excellent communicator

    + Experience treating patients of all ages

    + Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

     

    Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

     

    **Pay Range:** $124,610 - $175,000 _(TCC)_
