Primary Function

Ensures that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible, thus enabling the delivery of the parts to production in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

+ Maintains consistent communication with the purchasing department regarding new items, part changes, locations changes, etc.

+ Oversees the activities and job assignments of the inventory controllers including preparation of performance appraisals.

+ Ensures warehouse is kept clean and orderly.

+ Creates and establishes inventory accuracy goals

+ Prepares inventory reports for review on a monthly basis.

+ Analyzes stock control data and develops plans to meet both internal and external needs.

+ Maintains ABC classification for all parts in conjunction with the finance department.

+ Maintains cycle count program for controlled stores, tanks and finished goods.

+ Provides suggestions and input in the establishment of approval guidelines for inventory adjustments.

+ Builds positive relationships across departments.

+ Provide input toward the development of inventory control policies and procedures and establishes work instructions to support those policies.

+ Recommends and implements measures to improve inventory control

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Experience as a Supervisor in a Production / Manufacturing environment

+ Experience in inventory control

+ Strong verbal, written and analytical skills

+ Excellent computer skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
