Job Description: Manufacturing Engineering Specialist
As a contractor, you will support our customer with a large ERP implementation focusing on enhancing manufacturing processes, designing routings, and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs). Your role will involve assessing the manufacturability of existing designs, setting up and standardizing parts within the ERP system, transferring part numbers from IFS to Kinetic/Epicor, and working on product and part design, including modifications to existing designs and BOMs.
Responsibilities
+ Support ERP implementation with a focus on manufacturing processes.
+ Design routings and manage BOMs for manufacturing.
+ Assess the manufacturability of existing designs.
+ Set up and standardize parts within the ERP system.
+ Transfer part numbers from IFS to Kinetic/Epicor.
+ Contribute to product and part design.
+ Modify existing designs and BOMs as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in design, mechanical, and sheet metal processes.
+ Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor; SolidWorks as an alternative.
+ Project management skills without a defined timeline.
+ General manufacturing engineering experience including processes, product flow, and fabrication.
+ Experience with routings and BOMs.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
+ Experience with large data sets and their manipulation.
+ Experience in an Engineering to Order (ETO) environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience with ERP implementation and file transfer.
+ Experience with SolidWorks, Mechanical Engineering, Creo, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling.
+ New product development skills.
+ Minimum of 2 years of mechanical design experience.
+ Associate's degree in a related field to design or manufacturing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
