Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing the production process, addressing customer needs, and ensuring the seamless operation of automated systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and innovation on the production floor.

Responsibilities

+ Review and respond to emails at the start of the day.

+ Address customer needs related to new tooling for part design and follow up on outstanding orders and equipment repair with vendors or customers.

+ Monitor production lines and check in with operators throughout the day.

+ Engage with die attach operators to identify and resolve any issues.

+ Create reports describing production floor issues for vendor or customer feedback.

+ Document machine repairs and describe issues directly on equipment.

+ Install and test new tooling, identify broken sensors, and troubleshoot automated systems.

+ Create programs for new products and develop new processes.

Essential Skills

+ Strong mechanical foundation and aptitude.

+ Experience in manufacturing processes and automated equipment.

+ Proficient in report writing to describe technical problems.

+ Ability to work with automated machinery and tooling installation.

+ Experience with automated equipment or pick and place equipment, such as Datacon 2020 Evo.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Requires a BS degree in engineering or a STEM-related field.

+ At least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, although candidates with less experience who are quick learners may be considered.

+ Semiconductor manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite with standard workdays ranging from 7 am to 4 pm. The work involves a mix of hands-on activities on the manufacturing floor and office tasks. The majority of the time will be spent in a cleanroom lab, requiring adherence to ESD protocols and wearing a cleanroom suit 80-90% of the time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $73.56/hr.
