We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Designer who is eager to enter the field of Automotive Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative math and design solutions to meet subsystem and component requirements. This role requires creativity, initiative, and independent problem-solving skills while leading cross-functional teams for issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a drive to become an expert in Automotive Design, Engineering Best Practices, and Manufacturing Requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Support component and subsystem requirements by developing, refining, and finalizing criteria and typical sections.
+ Develop standard modeling methods and processes, demonstrating proficiency in design standards and best practices.
+ Apply manufacturability, design for assembly, and integration knowledge to parts and subsystem designs.
+ Facilitate and participate in design reviews, both scheduled and informal workstation reviews, as required.
+ Document and maintain material, mass, and other part specifications within the NX file.
+ Support CAE with studies to improve designs and complete, analyze, and apply NX analysis results for solutions.
+ Support the Global Vehicle Development Process and ensure math fidelity for each cycle.
+ Independently integrate component subsystem design into systems and perform studies for program direction recommendations.
+ Stay informed of current product developments and trends, supporting lessons learned and updating best practices.
+ Create math data models of advanced, complex components, systems, and subsystems.
+ Proactively communicate effectively with all stakeholders and release system/subsystem parts to meet timing requirements with quality.
+ Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities.
+ Support current product change management processes.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical design and NX software.
+ Bachelor's degree in a Technical Design/Engineering Program or 3+ years of design/engineering experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with design software such as Catia, Creo, or similar.
+ Demonstrated application of design operations and processes.
Work Environment
The position is located in Warren, MI. The role involves working in a collaborative environment, utilizing advanced design software and tools. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on innovation and excellence in automotive design.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of WARREN, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
