Job Title: Environmental SpecialistJob Description

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for performing construction site inspections, report writing, Phase I investigations, and sample collection for lab submission. The work will be conducted on commercial, industrial, and storm-impacted structures. This role involves managing project sites, meeting deadlines, maintaining client relations, and ensuring project profitability while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct construction site inspections and report findings.

+ Perform Phase I environmental investigations and collect samples for laboratory analysis.

+ Operate and oversee project sites, managing time and resources effectively.

+ Maintain and build positive client relations.

+ Produce profitable projects and adhere to company policies and procedures.

+ Report any project challenges to the Project Manager or immediate supervisor.

+ Identify and communicate potential business leads to the Business Development Manager.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in general labor and environmental remediation.

+ Knowledge of environmental science and fieldwork.

+ Proficiency in cleaning and construction.

+ Certification in HAZWOPER and OSHA 40.

+ Skills in soil sampling and decontamination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

+ Strong typing skills for report writing and data entry.

+ Ability to compile and produce comprehensive reports.

+ Physical capability to carry equipment and climb ladders or scaffolding.

+ Ability to pass a pulmonary function test for respirator use.

Work Environment

The Environmental Specialist is required to be at the office or project site from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The position is on-call during other hours when on a project site. The role requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week, with a combination of salaried and hourly work depending on project availability.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
