Job Title: Fuels Quality Control ManagerJob Description
Oversee quality control procedures on fuels projects, maintenance activities, and service orders. This role includes coordination and review of third-party inspections and material testing. Collaborate with Project Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Service Order Managers to establish quality control measures and project-specific QC requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor construction, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure adherence to predetermined schedules, project drawings, specifications, and applicable construction industry standards.
+ Assist Project Managers in preparing and executing RFIs with designers and engineers to address site issues promptly and cost-effectively, avoiding schedule delays.
+ Manage and communicate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Site Managers regarding quality control performance issues.
+ Identify project design and construction elements likely to cause disputes and claims, determining acceptable resolutions.
+ Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
+ Perform and follow the USACE 3-phase inspection process.
+ Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance and quality.
+ Ensure project documents and deliverables are complete and accurate.
Essential Skills
+ Quality control expertise in fuels and construction.
+ Experience with OSHA 30 and USACE QCM certifications.
+ Proficiency in Federal construction standards such as AP653 and AP 570.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A minimum of three years of experience as a site Quality Control Manager on DoD Fuels System construction and repair projects.
+ Experience with DoD construction projects involving USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, ANG, AF Reserve, and US Coast Guard.
+ Working knowledge of Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications (UGS) and other relevant guidelines.
+ Broad knowledge of POL systems to effectively communicate and understand technical issues.
+ Familiarity with API 653, API 570, STI, ASME B16.5, and ASME 31.3.
Work Environment
This role requires traveling onsite 100% of the time, typically for 2-3 months at a time before a brief return home. The company provides a per diem for food and incidentals, pays for lodging, and covers rental car and gas expenses.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
