Lab Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Technician who will be responsible for technical data entry and performing technical activities as outlined by study protocols. The role involves ensuring complete documentation throughout the studies and conducting data entry upon study completion. The technician will ensure the availability of equipment and supplies necessary for conducting studies and perform and document maintenance and calibration procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Perform technical activities as directed by study protocols.
+ Ensure documentation is complete throughout the studies.
+ Conduct data entry at the completion of studies.
+ Ensure availability of equipment and supplies for studies.
+ Perform and document necessary maintenance and calibration procedures.
+ Process samples.
+ Read, understand, and execute study protocols and SOPs.
+ Work effectively in a team environment.
+ Follow standard laboratory operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
+ Perform routine and non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
+ Maintain organization, analytical skills, and flexibility to adjust to priorities.
Essential Skills
+ Associates degree with lab experience or Bachelors degree in Microbiology or Biology.
+ Experience in a lab environment.
+ Familiarity with equipment and documentation related to biological and chemical laboratory operations.
+ Experience following SOPs.
+ Proficiency in data entry.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ GLP experience or understanding.
+ Experience with information management systems such as SharePoint and LIMS.
+ Proficiency in Excel.
+ Experience in quality assurance, quality control, and inspection.
Work Environment
Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 7 am - 3:30 pm OR Friday to Tuesday, 7 am - 3:30 pm. The position requires adherence to standard laboratory operating procedures and health and safety guidelines. The work environment supports teamwork and requires flexibility and excellent communication skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
