Join a leading manufacturer of automotive glass in northern Indiana, supplying major automotive brands like Ford, Chevrolet, Stellantis, and Honda. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to support our advanced manufacturing processes and enhance our production capabilities.
Responsibilities
+ Provide production support by troubleshooting and programming plant automation systems.
+ Design and implement new control systems to improve manufacturing efficiency.
+ Support data acquisition efforts throughout the plant.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot vision applications to ensure optimal performance.
+ Collaborate closely with maintenance personnel and electricians to maintain and improve systems.
+ Utilize various types of automation software, including FTView Studio and Studio 5000.
+ Apply knowledge of motors and drives, including AC and DC motors, servo systems, and legacy AB drives.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering.
+ Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting, including PLC 5.
+ Experience with Fanuc and ABB robots.
+ Knowledge of Ignition, Vision Systems, SQL database, C#, Python, Cognex VPro, Kinetix, and PowerFlex.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering is a plus.
+ Experience with Ignition or other SCADA systems is beneficial.
Work Environment
Work is conducted Monday through Friday during 1st shift, but the plant operates on a 2-2-3 schedule 24/7, so flexibility to be onsite outside of 1st shift hours is required. Occasional overtime may be needed. The environment can be warm during the summer months. You will be working as part of a team with two other experienced automation engineers, each with over 15 years at the company.

This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
Will get benefits from them once we have a candidate in process.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Auburn,IN.
