Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

Support civil engineering design for renewable energy, storage, utility transmission, and related projects. Perform stormwater compliance inspections for ongoing projects. Prepare stormwater management plans (including SWPPPs) and conduct hydrologic modeling. Support nationwide engineering and design initiatives with construction administration tasks, including submittal review, RFIs, and site visits. Prepare plans, drawings, and design documentation under supervision of project managers and engineering leads. Maintain safety awareness at all times and report health and safety concerns. Pursue continuous professional development to build technical knowledge and industry awareness. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ 1–3 years of professional engineering experience.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

+ Engineering in Training (EIT) certification.

+ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Civil 3D, land development, stormwater, grading, and erosion.

+ HEC-RAS and site development experience.

+ Civil design and drainage knowledge.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.07/hr.
