Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Processing/Front-End
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Front-End/Processing Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. This position involves both customer-facing interactions and back-end processing tasks, providing a well-rounded experience in pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities
+ Answer phones and manage voicemails efficiently.
+ Process prescription refills and new prescriptions using pharmacy software.
+ Assist walk-in customers at the front desk with will call transactions.
+ Triage calls to pharmacists in the processing room.
+ Fax refill requests to prescribers.
+ Support processing pharmacists with various projects.
+ Rotate duties between the processing area and the front desk.
+ Perform secondary functions such as sorting documents, cutting bubble wrap for shipping, shredding PHI, and other organizational tasks.
+ Lift and move containers weighing up to 20 lbs.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician certification or certificate.
+ Experience as a pharmacy technician for at least 1 year in any setting.
+ Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certification (CPhT).
+ Proficiency in processing refills and new prescriptions.
+ Strong data entry and typing skills.
+ Excellent customer service experience.
+ Ability to multitask effectively.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.
+ Strong work ethic and motivation to meet performance metrics.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
+ Time management and prioritization skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Reliability and positive attendance history.
+ Ability to work well in teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Experience in using pharmacy software and call center environments.
+ Capability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Work Environment
Our team operates on the second floor of the building, in a call-center-like environment with low cubicle walls. The schedule includes Monday to Friday shifts with every third Saturday required, rotating between opening, mid, and closing shifts. Employees must wear closed-toed lab shoes stored on-site. The facility offers a spacious and modern environment with excellent conditions and engaging duties. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
