Position: Electrician and Mechanical Technician Reports to: Plant Supervisor
We are looking for a talented Electrician and Mechanical Technician with a mindset of problem solving to help the company reduce down time and increase efficiency. This individual will be responsible for working on systems that both electrical and mechanical work. Perform preventative and regular maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems and are trained in handling moderate and complex repair work.
+ Promote a safe working environment. Identify and demonstrate use of machine safety and personal protection equipment. Demonstrate compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements and guidelines.
+ Install, maintain and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
+ Install and repair pneumatic assemblies to meet job specifications
+ Strong troubleshooting skills to tackle problems associated with electrical and mechanical machinery by following precedential steps.
+ Install electric parts and hardware using equipment
+ Fabricate housings, jigs, fixtures and replacement parts by operating metalwork machines.
+ The ability to use hand and power tools.
+ Perform daily inspections to diagnose issues and employ tactics to resolve them effectively.
+ Train new employees to help them understand electrical and mechanical work.
+ Must be able to respond to break-down calls after normal work hours and have a mindset of repair to prevent
+ Miscellaneous housekeeping and maintenance to ensure clean and safe work area.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Gemba’s.
Preferred Skills/Experience
+ Proven experience as an Electrician and Mechanical technician.
+ High degree of accuracy, electrical and mechanical knowledge, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to identify differences, issues or detect changes in operational performance.
+ Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems.
+ Excellent planning abilities.
+ Knowledge of basic PC operation and use for timekeeping.
+ Ability to work in a team environment.
+ Adaptable to changing work environment with competing demands and frequent changes.
+ Ability to stand or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.
+ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
+ High school graduate or equivalency. Two-year trade school degree is helpful.
**Pay Details:** $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
