We are seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to join our team and oversee a variety of bridge and roadway construction projects in the Hampton Roads area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma or two years with a bachelor's degree. This role requires strong capabilities in understanding construction plans, specifications, and procedures, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish robust working relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee a variety of roadway and bridge construction projects.
+ Direct inspection and material testing efforts.
+ Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring operations remain within specified corporate or project budget parameters.
+ Prepare and analyze schedules and cost estimates.
+ Assist in negotiating contractor change orders.
+ Supervise onsite teams and manage change orders.
+ Ensure effective document control.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of four years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma or two years with a bachelor's degree.
+ Proficiency in civil and construction engineering concepts.
+ Experience in project management and construction methods.
+ Ability to review jobsite safety and understand OSHA safety standards.
+ Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in budget management and document control.
+ Capability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders.
Work Environment
The role involves both in-office and on-site work as needed, with standard work hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
